Scope and Contents: This series contains registration books for voters in elections for officers of the City of Savannah. Usually the managers of elections certified the names included in such books. A typical volume might contain for each of the relatively few voters included: (1) name; (2) age; (3) place of nativity (state or foreign nation only); (4) city ward; (5) street; (6) house number (if any), and (7) nearest cross street.
